705 County Road (X705)
Located in the Ngari Prefecture to the extreme south west of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, the 705 County Road (X705) runs over 4.000m for about 60km.
The road is 114 km long. It links the 219 National Road (G219) and a small town called Zanda. It was recently asphalted. Its highest elevation is 5.160m (16,929ft) above the sea level, at Longga La. The road is long and arduous and crosses several mountain passes through remote areas, so you need to be prepared. The road is terrible, with a notorius lack of oxygen that tests the organisms and a high degree of steepness. The zone is prone to heavy mist and can be dangerous in low visibility conditions. Do not travel this road in severe weather conditions.
