More than 100 hairpin turns on the road to Taibai Mountain

Tàibái Shān is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2,766m (9,074ft) above sea level, located in Mei County of Baoji, in the western part of Shaanxi province, China.

The pass is located in the central part of the country, within the Taibai Mountain National Forest Park. At the summit, there is a large parking lot.

Is the road to Taibai Mountain paved?

The road to the pass is paved. It is narrow, quite steep, and heavily trafficked by buses. The road is not for the faint-hearted, featuring 100 hairpin turns. The best way to navigate the road is by approaching close to the guardrail at the precipice before sharply turning the wheel into the curve.

How long is the road through Taibai Mountain?

Set high in the Qinling Range, the pass spans 19.5 km (12.11 miles), running from Man'Gou to Dongcha.
