210 Provincial Road: not even the most beautiful photos can do the road justice
210 Provincial Road is a very scenic drive in the heart of the Jiajin Mountains on the western part of Sichuan province, China.
This high mountain road is 193 km long. It’s paved and runs from Feixianguanzhen (at an elevation of 1.018m above the sea level) towards Daweixiang (at 2.917m). Expect countless hairpin turns and curves. The drive is definitely worth it. The road offers great views of the Jinjiashan Scenic Area and the Donghe River. The road tops out at Jiajinshan Pass, a high mountain pass at an elevation of 4.102m (13,458ft) above the sea level, The highest point of the road is at 4100m above the sea level. With such a high summit altitude the road can be closed anytime due to snowfalls. The zone is prone to heavy mist and can be dangerous in low visibility conditions.
