Beishan Daban is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 3,485m (11,433ft) above sea level, located in Huzhu Tu Autonomous County, or in short Huzhu County, an autonomous county under the jurisdiction of the prefecture-level city of Haidong, in China.
Is the road to Beishan Daban paved?
Set high in the east of Qinghai province, the road through the pass, also named Yuanfu Daban, is fully paved and in excellent condition, yet extremely demanding, as the climb to the summit includes countless curves, most of them hairpin turns. It’s called G341, also known as Weibei Highway.
How long is the road through Beishan Daban?
Set high in the Qilian Mountains, the pass is 75km (47 miles) long, running west-east from Huzhu Tu to Tiantangxiang.
