The pass, also known as Korala, is located in the Dhawalagiri Zone of northern Nepal, near the Chinese border. It is considered the lowest drivable path between the Tibetan Plateau and the Indian subcontinent.

The pass spans 11.7 km (7.27 miles), running north-south from the Korala Border on the Chinese border to Nhichung.
Is the Road Through Kora La Unpaved?
Located near Chhonhup, the road to the summit is entirely unpaved and is usually impassable in winter. Known as the Kali Gandaki Corridor KA32, it is recommended to use a 4x4 vehicle for this journey.
