The road to the summit is entirely unpaved and challenging, with narrow parts, steep sections, and countless hairpin turns. The pass is 52.5 km (32.62 miles) long, running north-south from Angzacun to Najia.
Is Lagen La open in winters?
Due to its altitude, this road is open only in summers (from June through September). The rest of the year is blocked by snow. At this elevation, oxygen levels drop, and visitors need to take adequate precautions against AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness).
