27 hairpin turns to Longshan Pass
Longshan Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 4.542m (14,901ft) above the sea level, located in Garzê County, Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan, in China.
The road to the summit is totally paved and navigable by all passenger vehicles. It’s called S455. The summit offers sweeping views.
The pass is 40.4 km (25.10 miles) long running north-south from Nikexiang to Sitongdaxiang. The road to the summit is pretty challenging, with 27 hairpin turns and very steep, hitting a 24% of maximum gradient through some of the ramps.
