Tielimaiti La is an epic road in the Narat Range
Tielimaiti Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 3.335m (10,941ft) above the sea level, located in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region under the administration of the Aksu Prefecture, in China. The road offers breathtaking views of giant peaks, summits and deep gorges.
Located in the Narat Range, the road to the summit is paved. It’s called Duku Highway. It was bypassed by a tunnel a few years ago. The climb offers beautiful landscapes. The highway is only open around five months (from May to October) every year due to natural factors such as snow and ice. The road is is restricted for vehicles larger than 7 seats. High risk of mudslides. The main attraction of the pass is the multiple curves of the road on the slope.
