The rough and bumpy road to Tashtuni Lernants’k’
Tashtuni Lernants’k’ is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.489m (8,166ft) above the sea level, located in Syunik province, in Southern Armenia.
Nestled in the Arevik National Park, the road to the summit is unpaved and steep. 4x4 vehicle required. The road is dangerous because the extreme weather: blizzard, strong winds, fog, low visibility, black ice on some road sections and danger of avalanche are common.
The road is usually impassable in winters. The summit hosts a few communication facilities. Starting from the infamous paved Meghri Pass, the road is 1.43 km (4,679.02 ft) long.
