Tizi n’ Tgourt n’Aït Haddou Ou Amer
Tizi n’ Tgourt n’Aït Haddou Ou Amer is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.415m (7,923ft) above the sea level, located in in Midelt Province of central Morocco.
The road to the summit, located in the Atlas Mountains, is asphalted. It’s called R-706. Its many twists, turns and narrows can pose a challenge to even the most experienced drivers. The road is not easy, though. Up, down, right, left all the time. Driving at night, or in poor visibility, is not recommended for drivers unfamiliar with the road. The pass links the towns of Ait Amar and Tidrine, opening up onto a plateau dotted with acacia trees. This route is not recommended if your passengers are prone to car sickness. Expect a road with dangerous dropoffs.
