A memorable road trip to Tizi n’Tabgourt
Tizi n’Tabgourt is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.667m (8,750ft) above the sea level, located in the Marrakech-Tensift-Al Haouz region of Morocco. It’s one of the highest mountain roads of the country.
Set high in the Western High Atlas, the greatest mountain range of North Africa, the road to the summit is totally unpaved. The road is usually impassable in winters. 4x4 vehicle required. Expect a trail pretty steep. The pass road is61km (37 miles) long running from Lalla Aaziza (in Chichaoua Province of the Marrakech-Tensift-Al Haouz region) towards Talmakante (in Taroudant Province of the Souss-Massa-Drâa region).
