Tizi n’Taroubia, a steep unpaved road in the Atlas
Tizi n’Taroubia is a high mountain peak at an elevation of 2.339m (7,673ft) above the sea level located on the boundary of Errachidia province in the region of Dra-Tafilalt and Khénifra province in the region of Béni Mellal-Khénifra, in Morocco. The average gradient is 9.10%.
Located in the central part of the country, between the Middle Atlas and High Atlas mountain ranges, the road to the summit is unpaved and steep. 4x4 vehicles with high clearance only. Remember this is a mountainous area, climbing up a high mountain: altitude and extreme weather are always a factor. It can be impassable anytime due the snow.
The summit hosts many communication towers. Starting from Tizi N´Talghaumt, the ascent is 4.9 km long. Over this distance the elevation gain is 446 meters. The average gradient is 9.10%.
