Driving across Russia was never on my list of "Things To Do." Now, after 8,000 kilometers and 15 days by car, it's on my list of "Things Never To Do Again."

Lefortovo tunnel is a road tunnel in the Lefortovo District in Moscow, Russia, nicknamed the "Tunnel of Death" by locals, and opened in 2003. It is a part of the Third Ring Road of the city.
The Lena River has an ice road on its surface for hundreds of kilometres during the winter. To cross the river, locals are forced to use ferryboats from June till October and ice roads in winter, officially from the midst of December till early April.

M55 is a federal highway in Siberia, Russia, part of the Baikal Highway with a total length of 1,099 km. This route starts in Irkutsk and ends in Chita.

One of the most dangerous intersections in the world, is situated in Saint Petersburg (Russia).
The Road of Life was the transport route across the frozen Lake Ladoga, which provided the only access to the besieged city of Leningrad in the winter months during the Great Patriotic War. The road forms part of the World Heritage Site Saint Petersburg and Related Groups of Monuments.

Taganskaya square is one of the biggest and most busy traffic squares in Moscow. Many people make their way past this place every day, some stay a while, some only seconds.
